Wholesale Networks Simplify The Sales Process
The new buzzword in the wholesale industry is ‘Wholesale Networks’. If you have heard of this term, you probably weren’t aware of what it actually meant and how it can benefit you as a wholesale supplier in getting more of your merchandise out to your customers. First, let’s take a gander at what wholesale networks are and how they can help you.
A wholesale network isn’t the same as a wholesale suppliers list or a directory service such as Salehoo. What it is instead is a centralized service where many different wholesale sources offer their items for sale to their customers.
For wholesale suppliers, wholesale networks don’t have a fee to list your items on their website. Their aim is to get as many different wholesale sources offering as wide a variety of product ranges as possible. The way that they make money is by having a subscription service to retailers that are looking to acquire wholesale items from suppliers.
This subscription service makes up for the operating costs of the wholesale network, as the retailer uses the wholesale network as a single shop for all their wholesale sourcing needs. From a retailer’s point of view, they are able to go in and place orders for multiple different goods to be delivered to multiple customers all at the one time. They don’t place separate orders with each wholesale source, as the wholesale network operators control all of this type of administration.
It’s a very attractive prospect from a retailer’s point of view, as they save copious amounts of time by only having one storefront to deal with. For both sourcing and ordering merchandise, it is the most convenient way of doing business.
Likewise, from a wholesale supplier’s point of view, a wholesale network offers the connection with multiple retailers for almost no effort. It is more a case of your customers coming to you, rather than you having to advertise to your customers.
Some people are worried that there may be competition from other wholesale sources, but as we all know, wholesale suppliers deal in such a disparate selection of merchandise that there really is no cause for concern. In addition, your retail customers will be searching for very different things, from those that want to sell higher priced, higher quality wholesale products, to those that are looking for cheap and cheerful goods that will fly off the shelves. Whatever your wholesale product range is, there is a place for you in wholesale networks.
The reason that wholesale networks are such a great way for you to get your products to retailers is that they offer maximum flexibility for minimum effort. If you are willing to drop ship items on behalf of your customers, you will find that you are able to earn greater business and also turn a better profit for it.
Rather than getting involved in wholesale directories or wholesale lists that rarely give you any customers, try getting involved in product-based wholesale networks that offer a far better solution for you as a wholesale source.
